The show

Nobody hands you a disclaimer.

I started this podcast while learning who I am as a mom and making space for every version of me—the woman I have always been and the mother I'm becoming. Motherhood changes so much at once, yet so many of its realities are left unspoken.

Motherhood Needs a Disclaimer makes room for the full, complicated experience: the identity shifts, changing relationships, unexpected emotions, quiet questions, joy, grief, and everyday moments that can catch us off guard. These are honest conversations about what motherhood asks of us, how it changes us, and what it means to find ourselves within it.

What we talk about

Four honest threads

Honesty

The unfiltered realities of motherhood — including the parts we usually keep to ourselves.

Identity

Making space for who you have always been and who you are becoming.

Recovery

The physical, mental, and emotional changes that deserve time, care, and honesty.

Community

Conversations that remind us we do not have to figure everything out alone.

What to expect

Real stories

Conversations with mothers about what life really feels like — not the polished version.

Short and honest

Thoughtful episodes made to meet you in the middle of real, everyday life.

No judgment

Every kind of motherhood belongs here, including the complicated days.

Hosted by

Alaina Tucker

I'm Alaina — a mother learning in real time, asking the questions I wish we talked about more openly, and making space for the honest version of motherhood.

Motherhood Needs a Disclaimer grew out of the conversations I was already having: late-night texts, kitchen-table confessions, the things we only admit to the people who get it. My hope is that it makes mothers feel seen, heard, and a little less alone.
